Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Coast
An aircraft soaring near a popular coastal shoreline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Videos uploaded on the internet show the helicopter commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then descending towards the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palms and a staircase adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
Emergency responders reported five individuals were taken to hospital including two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

Authorities said the aircraft was linked to an annual “Cars N Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
