Football Star Welsh Athlete Ramsey Ups Reward for Missing Dog in Mexico to £15,000
Welsh football star Ramsey has increased the incentive for leads about his vanished canine Halo to $$20k.
The former Premier League club Arsenal and Cardiff player, who currently plays for the Mexican club Pumas in the capital, stated that the beagle was last seen in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato state area.
the dog, who disappeared on 9 October, was wearing a tracking device, and the footballer shared a Google maps location of her last known location.
"Any updates about our beloved Halo kindly contact us. Substantial bounty for reuniting with her. We are all praying she is unharmed and can be back with us quickly," Ramsey wrote on Instagram.
Initial Bounty and Emotional Pleas
The footballer initially revealed that his dog had gone missing two weeks ago and has subsequently shared several pictures of the cherished pet on his social media account.
A £7,500 reward was originally provided, but with lack of updates on the dog's status after a week, the player and his family doubled the sum.
"We just want our pet returned," he stated in a further plea on his online platforms after the decade-old dog was lost.
The latest picture post is a monochrome photo of the beagle napping, her head resting in the bend of the athlete's elbow, with the caption: "What I wouldn't give to embrace you one last time sweet Halo."
Family's Anxieties and Context
Ramsey has additionally circulated a note from his spouse Colleen on social media mentioning they have some "important questions" surrounding the disappearance and are concerned the family "may never receive answers".
"To this day we have not located our dog. I fear we will," his wife's update expressed.
The Welsh captain joined Mexico's premier team Club Universidad Nacional recently and had his inaugural match in the Mexican league in the eighth month.
