The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the team reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
